The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed about the large variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your superior amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The provider position made for intervention experiences a substantial inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for your office to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra means to more info allow the servicing of all clients and boost entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
